Setzer made his way through the halls, the click of his boots echoing rather loudly in the halls. He walked with authority, and even his footfalls echoed it. I like it. He thought with a slight up turning of the corners of his lips. A guitar case was slung haphazardly over his right shoulder, held rather loosely in place by his fingers curled under the strap near the top of his shoulder. It might have been rather unorthodox, but then again, Setzer wasn't exactly what you'd call normal. He was almost certain most of the students didn't know him anyway; since school had started on Monday, he didn't get to teach his class. It was Friday now, though, and soon he'd finally be able to get to it. It was a good thing, too, Setzer was rather bored.

He was dressed in black from head to toe. A slim black button down shirt, a rarity for him in the black denim jeans, something he only wore casually, which rested over and consequently covered the most of his black boots. He was without the long black overcoat that people seemed to recognize more than they did him. It was hot, and he had planned to be outside for the majority of this venture, and Setzer didn't like to sweat. Even his guitar case was black..

All of this week he'd been playing his guitar. He'd taken it up not so long ago and was already quite good with it, just one of the many things that seemed to be so with him lately. People thought he was gifted, but he was just bored, and boredom does strange things to a man. He had played outside the various university buildings before, and he was poised to do so again, once he got his shopping done.

He stopped outside the main building, pulling out a little white slip of paper where he's scribbled down the various things that he needed to get. It was a wonder he could even read it. At the top of the list was food for Lagomorph, his rabbit like pet, and "stuff" for the guitar. He shoved the paper back in his pocket with a sigh, just what had he meant by stuff anyway? Too bad he couldn't remember.

Apologies for not getting here sooner. Anyway, I've not quite done this posting format before, so feel free to voice your opinion/what have you. Er, yeah.

Edgar had been amusing himself in the university bookstore for far too long. And no, not with books. With coloured paperclips. And the little magnetic shapes that they stuck to to keep them all in one convenient place on your desk. This place really had some interesting things.. stuff you definitely couldn't find back home. He'd finally picked out one of the fascinating paperclip holders, as well as a set of ministaplers and a box of school-coloured bandaids. *Boy, the things they make these days..* Edgar thought to himself and chuckled as he paid the cashier.

He left the building rather triumphantly with his bag of newly acquired, interesting items. The sun outside was indeed bright, and the blonde found himself squinting immediately upon stepping outside. Wasn't it supposed to rain today..? One hand lifted, shielding his eyes from the sun as he glanced up to the sky. Not a cloud in sight. That was odd.. lips sketched into a small brown as he swiped his long blonde braid back over one shoulder.

Ed started down the steps, trying his best to ignore the sun until his eyes adjusted. He had the day free, as he'd forgotten to turn in his class forms on time (oops!), and was still planning on what to do.. maybe he'd take a trip into the city. Maybe he'd visit his brother. Maybe he'd.. hey, wait a minute. That guy looked familiar. Yeah, that one.. standing at the bottom of the stairs, dressed in black, with the silver hair and the.. guitar case? Well, that part wasn't familiar, but regardless it earned a lengthy look from the blonde, and his stride slowed as he reached the bottom of the stairs. "Hey.. aren't you...?"

You're doing fine, IMO. :)

Setzer had been preparing himself to go ahead with his journey. Trying to come up with just what 'stuff' had been. That was really going to bother him. Infact, he'd been so wrapped up in it, he hadn't even noticed anyone approaching him until said person had spoken to him. His gaze snapped up to the face of the man before him, and his expression softened considerably.

"Setzer Gabbiani." He said with a slight smile. He recognized Edgar, to an extent. To the extent that he knew the face, and the name was on the tip of his tongue.. But.. Weren't there two of them? Ack, what if he got the wrong one? He resolved not to say anything, and just wait to see what he did.

There were two of them. Edgar was much slimmer than his 'bear' of a brother -- at least from what he remembered...

Edgar slowed to a stop a few stairs away from the familiar silver-haired man. A slow smile sketched across youthful features and is was followed shoftly by a soft chuckle.

"Well.. well well. Setzer. If this.. doesn't bring back memories." His voice started to trail off, and sea-blue eyes took on a wistful glimmer for a few moments. It wass sad, with all that was going on in his life he'd nearly forgotten about his best friend for so many years.. the guilt would probably gnaw at him later, but it stayed away for now.

Setzer never had really much of a relationship with Sabin, and anymore when he thought about his past, the two of them were like one. It was quite a shame, and Setzer himself did feel bad about it, and a lot of things concerning them. The fact he never really tried to get in touch with them, that was just one of the many things.

He studied Edgar as he spoke, taking note of what he wore, and even the way he spoke. It didn't take him long, searching the memories of his alcohol- soaked past to place Edgar, anyway. Of course, it had to be him. He'd change, everyone changes, but he couldn't mistake that flair of blonde. Setzer's slight smile grew just a little bit wider as he answered him. "That it does, Edgar, I didn't expect to be meeting you here." Or perhaps Setzer never thought to be there.

Of course, it was him. He was one in a million; just ask him, and he'd tell you himself.

"Likewise. Actually.. yeah, this'd be one of the last places..." He turned thoughtful for a few moments as he pondered that over, and his voice trailed off.. yeah, this was true. A university. How odd. Fate worked in strange ways, it seemed.

But anyways. What was past was truly past, and Edgar shook it out of his mind for the time being. He was still grinning wide, like a kid in a candy store. "So hey, what're you doing here? How have you been? -Where- have you been?" A lot of questions, and he fired them off like a barrage of bullets, stopping when he realized that it may be a bit much fr right now. Oops.

After all of the questions, Setzer had simply blinked, his eyes going wide for just a second before returning to their original size. And then? He laughed. He couldn't help it, it was a good many questions, and all needed to be asked.

"Are you busy? We could go talk somewhere. I'm positive there's got to be a coffee shop or something around here." So, his tasks could wait. There was nothing incredibly important he had to do; nothing that couldn't wait. And he did want to catch up with Edgar.. Or, even if he was busy, there would always be another time, since Setzer had absolutely nothing to do.

He couldn't help but laugh and shake his head back and forth, one hand moving to rub at the back of his neck. Nothing like being over-exuberant..

"Haha, sorry about that. Sometimes my mouth works faster than my brain.. yanno." He offered up a sheepish grin. "Yeah, there is a cafe here, but I wouldn't reccomend the food unless you're into.. well, school food, yanno? But the drinks are good." And he would look down at his plastic bag with mild interest... "All my shopping is done, so I am free."

"I'm just not quick enough for all of that, hah." No reason to apologize, he thought, they were questions that did indeed need to be asked, and questions he'd ask Edgar himself later on.. That is, if he could ever remember them, ahem.

He'd given Edgar's bag an eye as well, but didn't linger on it too terribly long. He drew his gaze back up to Edgar rather quickly. "Well, then, join me in the cafe with the cardboard food?" He'd asked with a grin.

Things may have changed, but one thing sure hadn't-- he was still very comfortable, and very natural around him. This place was filled with unfamiliar faces and bodies, and Edgar was like a dream come true for him. He had been feeling a little lost, definitely out of place. But Edgar was good at that, making people feel at ease around him, Setzer had always thought.

He couldn't help but laugh at the cardboard food comment. It wasn't entirely bad.. but it was no salmon wellington, that was a fact, and Ed found himself thinking about investing in a trip to the grocery store..

"All right, excellent! It's not even far from here.. I can't believe you haven't stumbled across it yet. How have you been surviving without eating, anyways?" One hand waved dismissively as he spoke, and there was no hesitation as the blonde would turn and trot across the quad towards the cafe.

Honestly, he was delighted to see his old friend. Guilt had quickly been overrun by exuberance, and a small, barely-there smile stayed on his face the whole time. Maybe it would not be so bad here after all.

Setzer had thought briefly about telling him how he had been living on poptarts and pringles for the last month or so, but decided against it when he recalled the situation with Lagomorph and the salt and vinegar chips.

He followed Edgar, quickly catching up to him and keeping in stride with him. "I haven't been much of anywhere useful. Truthfully, I don't know where I'm supposed to be sleeping half of the time." Wasn't that the truth. More than once he'd found himself wandering around campus, lost.

Now they had quite a bit of catching up to do, quite a bit more than Setzer would have liked. He blamed himself for that, however. "You seem to know where you're going, maybe I should stick with you." Setzer added with a slight chuckle.

Poptarts and.. what, now? It was a good thing he hadn't told Edgar, because he would have received a lecture about the food triangle, more than likely. Ed was not one to skimp on food.

"Oh? Scatterbrained, is it? Really? Hmm.. that's so.. ahh, whatever." He laughed lightly, rubbing at the nape of his neck with one hand as they approached the cafe. "I guess it is big around here. I mean, I just found that store with all the weird things today!" Weird.. things.. yes, bookstores always have weird things, and the blonde would lead the way into the cafe and promptly sit at the first table he came across.
